CASTROL® FAN-TASTIC SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN, NOR WILL A PURCHASE IMPROVE ONE'S CHANCES OF WINNING. OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES OR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO ARE 14 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY. VOID OUTSIDE THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, AND WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. ELIGIBILITY/ENTRIES: The Castrol® FAN-tastic Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open to persons who are at least fourteen (14) years of age at the time of entry and a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia. Employees of BP Lubricants USA Inc., their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, sales representatives, distributors, agencies and members of each of their immediate families (spouses, parents, grandparents, children and siblings, and their respective spouses) and those living in the same household of each are not eligible. Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Official Rules. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. Sweepstakes begins on February 7, 2008 and ends on November 30, 2008 (the "Sweepstakes Period").
   
   
   • TO ENTER: Go to http://www.castrol.com/racingsweeps_split any time during the sweepstakes period, and complete the registration form by entering your name, address, city, state, zip code and e-mail address. In order for the electronic entry to be valid, entrants must click on the "Submit" button on the Web site. Entrants must provide a valid e-mail address on-line. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Proof of being the authorized account holder may be required. On-line entries must be submitted by 11:59:59 PM ET on November 30, 2008.
     
     Or, you may enter by visiting the Castrol Midway Display at any drag race during the 2008 racing season. Fill out the required information on-line and submit your entry. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
     
     Limit one entry per valid e-mail address.
2. RANDOM DRAWING: All prize winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received on or about December 20, 2008. The drawing will be conducted by Promotions Etc., the judges of this Sweepstakes, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Winners will be notified by mail on or about December 22, 2008.
    
3. PRIZES/ODDS: Grand Prize: (1) Five day, four night VIP trip for two (2) to the opening race of the 2009 drag racing season in Pomona, California in February of 2009. Round trip coach airfare for two (2) from major U.S. gateway airport closest to winners home, hotel accommodations for 5 days and 4 nights, car rental, $500 food allowance, meet and greet with Team Force, 4 day event tickets to the drag race, and a BP Castrol Goodie Bag containing 2 shirts, 2 hats and 2 jackets. Approximate retail value is $3,000. (NOTE: specific value depends on departure city, destination city and dates of travel). All expenses and taxes not specifically mentioned herein, including without limitation or limited to, the transportation between the winner's home and the major U.S. gateway city airport closest to the winner's hometown are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize winner and their travel companion. Note: all additional meals, gratuities and ground transfers and excursions, incidentals and any other expenses not specified herein as being awarded are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize winner and his or her travel companion will be required to provide valid Federal or state government issued ID at time of travel. No changes will be made to travel details once any portion of travel arrangements has been made. Sweepstakes Parties are not responsible for cancellation of any element of Grand Prize or for changes in schedule of any element of the Grand Prize. All taxes/fees and expenses in conjunction with air tickets are the responsibility of the winner, including all necessary government documentation. Winner and his or her travel companion must travel on the identical itinerary. Travel must originate from and end at the same airport. Once travel commences, no stopovers are permitted; if stopover occurs, full fare will be charged from stopover point for the remaining segments, including return, of the trip. First Prize: Five (5) Autographed John Force Die Cast Car 1:24 scale ARV. ($200) each. Second Prize: Ten (10) Autographed Castrol Racing Hat signed by John and Ashley Force. ARV ($10) each. Total approximate retail value of all prizes is $4100. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of entries received.
    
4. PRIZE ACCEPTANCE: Prizes are not transferable or assignable. No substitution or cash redemption allowed except by Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if advertised prize become unavailable. All taxes, including federal, state and local taxes, are the sole responsibility of winner who may be issued an IRS 1099 tax form (winner is advised to seek independent counsel regarding prize winnings). Grand Prize winner will be required to sign, complete and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and Publicity (where permitted) within fourteen (14) days of notification. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within (14) fourteen days, after the first attempt to contact the potential winner, if the potential winner does not sign and return the notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and Publicity (where permitted) in the required time period, or if a prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be deemed forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected from among all remaining eligible entries received. If the Grand Prize is won by a minor the minor's parent or legal guardian must sign all affidavits on behalf of the minor. A parent or legal guardian 21 years or older must accompany the minor on the Grand Prize trip. Grand Prize winner's travel companion is also required to return a notarized Release of Liability and Publicity(where permitted) within this same fourteen (14) day deadline. Grand Prize winner's travel companion is required to be of majority age in their state of residency or be the child or ward of the Grand Prize winner who will be required to execute all required Release documents on said minor's behalf. Any prize won by a minor in their state of residency will be awarded in the minor's name to his/her parent or legal guardian who must sign, execute and return all required documents A minor will not be allowed to participate in any portion of the Grand Prize travel without being accompanied by their winning named parent or legal guardian. By accepting prize, winners consent to use of his or her name, state of residence and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes on-line and in print, or in any other media worldwide in connection with the Sweepstakes, without limitation and without additional compensation worldwide, except where prohibited by law. By accepting prize, winner further agrees to release Sponsor, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related companies and agencies and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, including but not limited to Promotions Etc. (collectively the "Sweepstakes Parties"), from any and all liability, loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with winner's participation in this Sweepstakes, or with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize, or the participation in prize-related activities. By accepting prize, winner further acknowledges that the Sweepstakes Parties have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied in fact or in law, relative to prize or to any portion thereof, including but not limited to its quality, merchantability, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose.
